Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy XIII US release dateSQUARE ENIX have announced the US release date of the next installment of the hit Final Fantasy franchise (Final Fantasy XIII) to be the 9th March 2010. Square Enix president and CEO John Yamamoto released a statement on the games US release date and confirmed that the game will see the PS3 and XBox 360 versions released simultaneously. He added "Coming simultaneously to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for the first time, 'Final Fantasy XIII' will be available to all players who are looking for the most immersive gaming experience of 2010". |

EA Shut Down Pandemic StudiosYesterday EA Games closed down Pandemic Studios leaving 200 employees without a job in an effort to "improve our cost structure, ensure quality and build schedule integrity for this studio," says Nick Earl, EA Games Label Senior Vice President. While the studio is being closed down, EA will be maintaining the studios brands and retaining a "Core IP Team" who will be relocating to EA's Los Angeles office. Nick Earl also stated that EA will be announcing new plans for games under the Pandemic hood in the coming months. Source: CG Society |
